The slider above is complements of “Smart Slider3”, a plugin that works with both Gutenberg and Elementor. I was led to believe that you could produce a “parallax effect” with this plugin, but so far that hasn’t worked out. I rather suspect that that feature comes with the pro version, but as I am conducting trials at present, I can’t see the point in paying out money – especially if that turned out to be a yearly subscription.
The following slider was going to be complements of Gutenslider, which, as its name suggests, has been designed with Gutenberg Blocks in mind. Unfortunately, the plugin comes in at a base price of about $48/year, and the “free” version is simply a seven day trial. Talk about winning friends and influencing people. The following slider is instead produced by Meta Slider.

OK, so Meta Slider doesn’t deliver on its promises, Gutenslider is there but is stuck in the corner on the first slide. It turns out that Smart Slider3 costs around $56.00 for a single site, or $113.00 for three sites, and up from there. Fortunately, these appear to be lifetime licenses.
